City and county lift curfew

Both Henderson County and the city of Hendersonville have lifted the overnight curfews that were put in place in the days after Hurricane Helene.

The state of emergency for Henderson County remains in place. There is still restricted travel along Highway 64, Highway 74 and Highway 9 in the Bat Cave and Gerton areas. For the latest information, visit www.hendersoncountync.gov/helene.

The city of Hendersonville also lifted the curfew on Thursday and reinstated special events permits previously granted for events beginning Monday, Oct. 14. The city of Asheville on Thursday adjusted its curfew. The new hours are 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
