Veterans Healing Farm will be a telehealth outpost

Veterans Healing Farm has been selected by the Veterans Administration to be a Health Care Telehealth Outpost in partnership with the Western North Carolina VA Health Care System in a collaboration that aims to significantly improve veterans' access to VA virtual care services in the region.

The new telehealth station features a private appointment room with reliable internet access and technology to facilitate seamless connections between veterans and VA providers. This station makes it easier for veterans to receive the care they need without any barriers by minimizing travel time and alleviating internet connectivity issues, the Veterans Healing Farm said in a news release.

The organizations will celebrate the new service with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Feb. 26, at the Veterans Healing Farm, 138 Kimzey Road, Mills River.
