A picture, goes the saying, is worth a thousand words.

On March 26, day before the six-month anniversary of Hurricane Helene, the Lightning will publish a special edition that tells the story of what happened before, during and after the worst natural disaster in the recorded history of North Carolina.

We would love to have more photos — from the height (and highwater mark) of the storm, the hours and days after. Photos that tell the story.

Please send photos to billmoss@hendersonvillelightning.com by Wednesday night, March 19. Tell briefly what it is abd provide IDs if there are people in it. For a credit line, include who took the photo.
