Historical Society honors Dr. George A. Jones

The Henderson County Historical and Genealogical Society honored Dr. George A. Jones on his 94th birthday.

Members of the Henderson County Genealogical and Historical Society honored Dr. George A. Jones on his 94th birthday, which happened to fall on the same say of the society's annual meeting, on Aug. 2.

Shown with Jones are members, volunteers and employees Jeannie Lindsey, Bill Guerard, Kathy Guerard, Betty Millar, Ray Rhoads, Stella Mace, Margaret Payne, Sally Berger, Ruth Kidd, Helen Ingle, Troy Drake, Ginny Thompson and Madison Moss.
Jones, one of the founders of the historical research center, thanked volunteers and supporters for their work.
