The city of Hendersonville is set to grant voluntary annexation for two parcels of land on Spartanburg Highway between Case Street and Old Spartanburg Highway across from Rex's gun shop and shooting range.
Property owner Glenda Glover asked for annexation of the property in accordance with the city's utilities extension policy, city planner said. The parcels have about 500 feet of road frontage on the north side of Upward Road.
The businesses on the property are Signature Signs and RM Collision Repair. Owners Tracy and Liz Glover say there are no plans for changes to either business. The annexation became necessary because the Upward Road widening will take the business's septic tank. City policy requires new sewer customers to become annexed into the city.
The City Council is scheduled to take up the request on Thursday.
