A middle school student was taken into custody for making a threat via text message and Apple Valley Middle and North Henderson high schools were placed on a precautionary lockdown for about 20 minutes today.
The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office and Henderson County Public Schools were made aware of the threat sent via text to a student by an unknown number. The student reported the threat to the School Resource Deputy. The lockdown was lifted and school resumed normal operations after the middle school student was removed.
