Tails in Town features 5k, Pints for Pups, vendors

Tails in Town, the once-a-year opportunity to celebrate the companionship, joy and unconditional love that human’s best friend brings to our lives, takes place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Historic Depot on Maple Street.

The free event features more than 40 pet friendly vendors, the Strut Your Mutt 5k fun run/walk (benefiting rescues), a dog costume contest, ask-a-professional talk session, food trucks and Pints for Pups, a rescue fundraiser sponsored by Southern Appalachian Brewing Co.
A joint venture of WTZQ-95.3 FM and Historic Downtown Hendersonville, Tails in Town is supported by presenting sponsor BMW of Asheville plus Animals R Us, Camp Bow Wow, REACH veterinary specialists, SunTrust Bank, Western Carolina Veterinary Surgery, Asheville Auto Spa, Wash’n’Wag Dog Wash and Foot RX.
