Drug squad seizes a pound of meth after traffic stop

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Team charged a 34-yar-old Atlanta man with multiple drug trafficking felonies after a traffic stop early Tuesday on U.S. Highway 25 South in East Flat Rock.


During the course of the traffic stop, the vehicle was searched, and detectives located approximately 474 grams (one pound) of methamphetamine. One person was arrested as a result of the search.

Damian Lewis Furtch was arrested on the following charges and remains in the Henderson County Jail under a $220,00.00 secured bond.

Felony Trafficking in Methamphetamine by Transport
Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver a Controlled Substance
Felony Maintaining a Dwelling Place for Controlled Substance
