Suspect caught in Dana robbery

The Henderson County sheriff’s deputies have charged a man in the robbery of the El Charrito Tienda Mexicana store at 2000 Dana Road in Dana on Sunday. Aaron Chase Melvin was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and jailed on a $50,000 bond.

Deputies responding to a panic alarm at the store at 10:35 a.m. Sunday were advised that the  alarm was related to an armed robbery that had just occurred.

Upon arrival officers determined that the unknown suspect entered the business, displayed a handgun and demanded money; the suspect then left the store with an undisclosed amount of money. Officers were able to obtain photos and video of the suspect and suspect vehicle from the store's video surveillance system.
