County employees to get Christmas bonus

County employees will receive a $250 Christmas bonus as an expression of gratitude for working through the pandemic and for fiscal discipline that has kept the treasury sound, the Henderson County Board of Commissioners decided Wednesday. Commissioner Michael Edney made the motion to allow the payment to around 800 fulltime employees before commissioners unanimously approved the token of holiday cheer.
