What's going on cleared land on Greenville Highway?

A 1.6-acre site has been cleared on Greenville Highway north of Wyndham Way for five high-end homes in a "pocket subdivision" called the Enclave on West Park Avenue.

Homebuilder Eric Oursler said last week he is awaiting city approval for a sewer hookup that the Board of Commissioners made a condition when it rezoned the lot to allow for the small subdivision. The lot had contained one home. The custom homes of 2,000 to 3,900 square feet on one-third-acre lots will start at $450 per square foot — or $900,000 to $1.75 million.

"It’s a completely fenced in community with an 8-foot fence surrounding the whole property, all grass with paved driveways," Oursler said. "It’ll be a really nice little community."
