Gala includes raffle for a big adventure

The Pardee Hospital Foundation Annual Gala this weekend features a raffle for a big adventure.

The foundation is selling 225 $100 raffle tickets for an all-inclusive African Safari trip for two. Individuals do not have to attend the gala in order to purchase a ticket and there are no limits on how many raffle tickets can be purchased. The winner will be notified by email and phone the following day.
"The Safari is just right for this gala," said Kimerly Hinkleman, executive director of the Pardee Hospital Foundation. "We wanted to do something really special this year and naturally a trip like this fits the bill. What makes it even more unique is that in addition to the proceeds going to the Pardee Hospital Foundation, 20 percent of the proceeds will also benefit Pay it Forward (501c3), an African food project near Kruger National Park."
The package includes two round-trip tickets on South African Airways from Washington Dulles or New York JFK to Johannesburg, accommodations for four nights at Southern Sun Cullinan Hotel in Cape Town with breakfast provided, a full-day Cape Point Tour, a full-day Winelands Tour and a half-day City Tour; a special gourmet dinner at one of the finest restaurants in Cape Town; fully inclusive accommodations for three nights at the 4-star Thornybush property, with three meals and two game drives daily.
This year the foundation has a goal to raise at least $100,000 to assist in funding operating room technology to boost surgeons' skills and help the entire surgical team work safely and more efficiently.
