FEMA seeks locally based community liaisons

FEMA is looking for local people to serve as a community liaison — a fulltime job paying $60,000 to $113,000 a year — and also has openings in temporary roles lasting 120 days or longer.

The community liaison serves as the community’s link to FEMA and other federal programs. “The ideal candidate will have close ties to the community and leverage their local knowledge, relationships and familiarity with the impacted area to support disaster recovery,” the agency says.

The other openings are temporary jobs that could be extended or transitioned into other forms of employment. Initially, the local hire positions start out at 120 days of fulltime employment.
