Healthgrades puts Pardee among 100 Best Hospitals

UNC Health Pardee has been named one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for 2025 based on new research by Healthgrades, the No. 1 site Americans use when searching for a provider or hospital.

Pardee’s unwavering commitment to exceptional patient care puts the organization in the top 2 percent of hospitals nationwide for overall clinical performance for the fourth year in a row.

In addition to this recognition for overall clinical care, Pardee received numerous accolades related to its outstanding performance in key service areas, including stroke care and critical care. These achievements further underscore the organization’s dedication to clinical excellence, placing Pardee among the upper echelon of hospitals nationwide, the hospital said in a news release.

“I’m incredibly proud of the team here at UNC Health Pardee for earning this recognition as one of Healthgrades' 100 Best Hospitals," Pardee president and CEO Jay Kirby said. "This achievement is not just a reflection of our medical excellence, but of the care, compassion, and hard work that each of our teammates put in every day. It’s a privilege to serve our community alongside such dedicated professionals, and together, we’ll continue to deliver the very best for those who trust us with their health."

Pardee’s achievements are based exclusively on what matters most: patient outcomes. To determine the top hospitals for 2025, Healthgrades evaluated risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates for over 30 conditions and procedures at approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide. Healthgrades’ annual analysis revealed significant performance gaps between the nation’s highest- and lowest-achieving hospitals, making it increasingly important to seek care at a top-rated facility. If all hospitals performed similarly to America’s 100 Best, 174,761 lives could have been saved, the analysis said.
