Serenity Moss Garden open today

Thomas Brass’s Serenity Moss Garden will be open for free public viewing 10 a.m.-4 p.m. today at 253 Park Lane in Haywood Knolls.

The garden has taken more than 12 years and 350,000 floral pins to develop. The moss covers a mountain hillside area, approximately 10,000 square feet, surrounded by forest on Long John Mountain. More than 75 varieties of mostly ephemeral flowers bloom throughout the moss during the springtime.
