400 volunteers working in Days of Caring for nonprofits

Around 400 volunteers fanned out around Henderson County today for the annual Days of Caring to help 25 local nonprofits do projects that range from painting, mulching and home repair to sorting food donations and sewing pillows for hospice patients.

Volunteer teams from companies and organizations are working today and Saturday in the effort.
After projects are completed today, volunteers are invited to attend an afternoon celebration at Southern Appalachian Brewery from 4-6 p.m.
