Power outage knocks out electricity in Flat Rock

A power outage plunged more than a thousand Duke Energy customers into the dark on Monday night.

Power was out along Greenville Highway between Charlestowne Drive and Little River Road. Duke Energy reported on its website that nine outages had knocked out electricity to 1,096 homes and businesses. The utility projected that power would be restored by 1 a.m. Duke serves 64,843 customers in Henderson County.
