Two jailed under $1.5M bond on drug trafficking charges

A 54-year-old man and 34-year-old woman were jailed under a $1.5 million bond after a traffic stop led to multiple drug trafficking felony charges, the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office said.

On Wednesday, Feb. 3, deputies on the Sheriff’s Office's Crime Suppression Unit were conducting a saturated patrol of a known high-crime area in the Clear Creek community when they observed a vehicle with a fictitious registration plate. Upon conducting a vehicle stop, officers observed drug paraphernalia and narcotics inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed numerous individual bags of methamphetamine, digital scales and $5,822 in cash.

Jeffrey Scott Clark and Magdalena Bionca Serna, both of Hendersonville, were arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking methamphetamine, conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance. Clark and Serna were jailed in the Henderson County Detention Facility under a $1,517,000  bond.
