Sleep clinic CMA is Pardee's Teammate of the Month
Tinea Blue
Tinea Blue, a certified medical assistant with Carolina Lung and Sleep at Pardee, has been honored as the hospital's Teammate of the Month, UNC Health Pardee announced.
Blue joined Pardee in March of 2022, attracted by the opportunities for growth and advancement.
“I love what I do and I love making my patients feel comfortable and heard,” she said.
In the sleep clinic, Blue conducts blood work and ensures patients have what they need for smooth appointments, including sleep studies and data collection. Colleagues describe her as compassionate, hardworking, diligent, knowledgeable and kind, noting that “patients not only receive professional care but also find a trusted advocate in Tinea.”
A coworker recounted an instance where a patient, without an appointment, came to the office seeking Blue’s help with medical forms she couldn’t complete because she couldn’t read. Blue embraced the opportunity to assist, demonstrating her commitment to going above and beyond in patient care.
